Our Stylist Says
I really like the Shankar Brixton chairs for their versatile, modern look. The brown fabric offers warmth, making them suitable for both contemporary and transitional interiors, whether in a casual family space or a more polished dining room. The black metal legs add a touch of industrial edge, making them easy to style with various colour schemes and textures. Practical tips include pairing them with a wooden or glass table to highlight their fabric and metal details, and accessorising with simple, minimalist tableware to keep the look cohesive. The swivel feature also adds comfort and flexibility, ideal for multi-use dining areas or open-plan spaces. Overall, they’re a stylish yet functional choice that can easily elevate a dining environment.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
