Both original and poetic, the Setareh lamp was born from a desire to give the light more substance. It is a sculptural work imagined by the young Sicilian architect Francesco Librizzi. It consists of an illuminated glass sphere balancing on a slim metal perch. The flat lampshade creates a volume that floats above the light source. The ensemble is anchored firmly in a cement base. This lamp is an architectural construction, assembled from a confusion of basic geometric shapes. The diffuser, wire frame, lampshade and base communicate in a rhythmical ensemble that plays with mass and circular trajectories. Its design is balanced by a gravitational dynamic. In Setareh, the designer Francesco Librizzi has had fun disassembling an archetypal lamp. All of the lamp’s components are stripped bare and transformed into decorative elements. Setareh is a masterful, suggestive, high-impact object, both when switched on and off.
I love the Setareh table lamp for its sleek, contemporary aesthetic and versatile design. Its clean lines and modern form make it a perfect fit for minimalist and modern interiors, whether placed on a side table, console, or desk. The white diffused shade paired with polished metallic accents adds a subtle touch of sophistication, making it suitable for both residential and professional spaces. For styling tips, consider pairing it with matte textures or natural materials to create a balanced look, or use it as a statement piece in a monochrome scheme to highlight its sculptural qualities. Its understated elegance allows it to seamlessly blend into a variety of interiors, adding both function and style.
