I’m a big fan of these grey spindles for their clean lines and versatile colour - they slot neatly into Scandi, modern farmhouse or pared-back contemporary schemes. The slim spindle back keeps the look light, so even in a compact dining area they won’t overpower the space.
For styling, pair them with a pale oak or whitewashed table and layer in natural textures like a jute rug or linen cushions. If you want a pop of contrast, choose muted terracotta or deep navy seat pads. They’re also easy to move around, so you can use them as occasional extra seating in a lounge or bedroom corner.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores".
