Louis de Limburg has translated his love of books into an elegant table lamp called Fold. Indeed, the base of Fold, made of a thin metal sheet and encircling the tube of the lamp, looks almost as if it can be opened. In fact, there are also additional benefits to its look of a book. For example, the raised base can be used to support a photo frame, while the hollow in the base is the perfect place for the discrete storage of other objects, such as a book or telephone. Finally, the white-parchment lampshade provides a soft atmospheric light.
The Serax Fold table lamp is a sleek, contemporary piece that works particularly well in minimalist or modern interiors. Its clean lines and monochrome palette make it versatile enough to sit comfortably on bedside tables, desktops, or sideboards. I love how the simple geometric form adds a subtle sculptural element without overwhelming the space. Practical styling tips include pairing it with neutral-toned textiles or layered textures to highlight its refined look, and placing it near a leather or fabric-upholstered piece to bring a tactile balance. Because of its understated aesthetic, it offers functional lighting while also acting as a understated design feature.
