Our Stylist Says
I love these velvet tufted chairs because they bring a sophisticated touch to dining spaces without feeling overly formal. Their soft grey silver tone is versatile and works well in both modern and classic interiors, especially when paired with natural woods or metallic accents. The knocker back detail adds a bit of personality and vintage charm, making them suitable for eclectic or contemporary settings. For styling tips, consider using them in a neutral palette with pops of colour in accessories or centrepieces - for example, fresh flowers or colourful dinnerware. They’re also great in open-plan kitchens or dining rooms where a touch of elegance is desired, and their tufted design ensures comfort for extended seating.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
