Designed by the German architect Egon Eiermann in 1952, the SE18 Folding Chair in a stained black finish is expertly crafted by PLEASE WAIT to be SEATED. Stripping design back to its bare elements, the chair features a minimalist stained black frame and an organically-shaped seat. Honoured with awards such as The Good Design Award in 1953, the silver medal at Milan Triennale in 1954 and a place in the permanent collection at New York's MoMA, the SE18 Folding Chair is a timeless design classic that is bound to suit any dining space. One of Germany's most renowned architects and designers, Egon Eiermann had a simple, minimalistic approach to design. Inspired by architects such as Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier and Walter Gropius, his unique designs are as functional as they are beautiful.
