Description
This scented candle boasts the irresistible "Springtime forest" scent and is presented in a stunning sandstone pot, topped with a cork lid. Marimekko's famous poppy pattern was created in 1964, at a time when design homeware collections mainly featured abstract prints. Designer Maija Isola wanted to create something interest with this organic theme, and came up with an entire range of floral prints. Today, the iconic flower represents creativity. Once the candle has been burned right down, the pot can be used as a small jar or even a coffee cup. Created in 1951, Marimekko is a state of mind, a way of life based on creativity, freedom of spirit and inventiveness. Its notoriety dates back to 1960, the year in which Jackie Kennedy made several public appearances in dresses designed by Marimekko. The brand went on to enjoy enormous success, which continues today with a range of clothing and decorative accessories in vibrant colours.
