Part of our Occasional Chair Collection, our Scallop Armchair is the epitome of comfort and style. With a fluted rippled top and deep pleating to bring out the fan-like lines, it is inspired by a scallop shell and looks stunning. To give you more comfort, the back of the chair is an enveloping wrap-around design. With layer after layer of padding on the wrap-around back and arms, plus an extra-deep seat, the level of cushioning is impressive. As the plush fabric catches the light it has both lighter and darker shades as it's covered in the softest luxury velvet with a cool grey, bold blue or powder pink colour. Finished in gold, the retro-style metal legs have final designer flourish.

Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
