His refined, kaleidoscopic world is inspired by American modernism, contemporary art and fashion. Jonathan Adler revisits la dolce vita American-style with fantasy and glamour. He mixes extravagant elements with a classic, sophisticated style. The Scalinatella Cocktail coffee table stands out for its superb sinuous legs, made from a single polished brass tube. Very light and airy, the base plays with voids, rhythmic lines and solid surfaces. The polished brass finish is very elegant. The ethereal aspect of the top combines marvellously with the white Carrara marble top, a raw, solid material. Ceramicist, designer and internationally renowned interior designer, Jonathan Adler first became passionate about terracotta and exhibited his first pottery collection at Barneys in New York in 1993.
