The right-hand facing terminal creates an open, luxurious lounging space, perfect for stretching out or hosting family and friends. Upholstered in soft, durable dark green fabric, it brings richness and contemporary style to any home. Finished with sleek metal legs for a refined touch, this recliner corner sofa seamlessly blends comfort, practicality, and elegance, making it ideal for stylish, relaxing living spaces.

Our Stylist Says

I love this corner sofa for its versatile silhouette and inviting style-perfect for both laid-back and contemporary interiors. The green fabric adds a rich, sophisticated touch that works well in neutral sceneries or homes with lush, nature-inspired palettes. It's ideal for larger living spaces where comfort is key, and its right-hand facing design makes it a great choice for creating cosy seating zones. For styling tips, pair it with textured cushions or throws in complementary colours to add depth, and keep accessories minimal to let the sofa be the statement piece. It works particularly well in modern or eclectic interiors, but can also soften a more minimal space with its plush, inviting look.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
