I’m really taken with this mustard-hued Chesterfield-style bed - its deep button-tufting and sparkly diamanté detailing lift a simple bedroom into something quite special. The plush velvet finish works brilliantly in both modern and eclectic schemes: pair it with slate-grey walls and brass bedside lamps for a contemporary look, or soften it with cream linens and natural-wood furniture in a more relaxed, bohemian space.
For styling, keep your bedding relatively low-key so the frame remains the star. Think crisp white sheets with a couple of textural throws in muted tones, plus one or two accent cushions that pick out the turmeric shade. Floor-standing plants either side of the bed will add freshness, while mirrored or gloss-finish bedside tables reflect light back into the room and complement the bed’s jewel-like sparkle.
