I’m a big fan of this pink velvet Chesterfield-it instantly lifts a bedroom with its soft, tufted headboard and low-profile footboard. It works equally well in a modern-glam scheme (pair with brass bedside lamps and mirrored furniture) or a more pared-back, Scandi-inspired space (think grey linens, natural wood and a few textured throws). For practical styling, keep bedding in muted or tonal shades to let the blush velvet pop, add one or two velvet or faux-fur cushions for added depth, and include a soft rug underfoot to balance out the solid frame.

Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores".
