Price History

Description

With a bold, graphic floral print running throughout, this colourful rug is made using 100% wool for an indulgently soft feel underfoot. This rug is tufted by hand, meaning that wool is injected into the back of the rug with a tufting gun, holding the wool firmly in place. Founded in 1860, Sanderson is renowned for hand drawn designs and English garden palettes that bring a timeless and easy elegance to the home. As one of the most historic English soft furnishings brands, Sanderson is famous worldwide for a signature style that is informed by its heritage and designed for modern living, combining classic patterns with fresh vibrant colours. For the new collection, Sanderson introduces elegant trailing florals in sophisticated colour palettes, sweeping watercolour stripes and a classic Baroque-inspired trellis to perfectly complement Sanderson’s stunning fabrics, wallpapers and home accessories. This exquisitely crafted range of beautiful hand-tufted rugs complete any interior space, whilst adding a subtle touch of effortless luxury. About your new rug We recommend. It prevents your rug from moving underfoot and protects against colour transfer to the floor Natural fibres may shed. This will reduce over time and will not affect your rug's performance. Vacuum clean regularly to reduce the shedding. When vacuuming your rug, use suction only. Rotating brushes may damage the fibres Blot any spills with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub or use harsh detergents. Latex backed therefore not suitable for underfloor heating. Specialist cleaning recommended.

Our Stylist Says

I love the vibrant mix of blue and orange on this rug-it's an excellent way to introduce colour into a neutral space or to anchor a space with bold hues. The design is versatile enough to suit both contemporary and traditional interiors, especially those with a touch of eclectic style. Practical styling tips include using it to add warmth and character to a living room or bedroom, paired with solid-coloured furniture to let the rug stand out, or layering it over neutral carpets for added texture. Its eye-catching pattern can also serve as a focal point, so keep surrounding accessories simple and understated for a balanced look.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
