Description

From the Sanderson archives, this curtain design is a repainted watercolour of an old design. The exotic King Protea flower adorns the fabric, fully covering the cotton ground. The curtains have a contemporary eyelet heading and are fully lined, which adds the perfect finish, improving the drape and enhancing the vibrancy of the pattern. The width stated indicates the size of one curtain panel when laid completely flat. This pack contains two panels and the track/pole length we've recommended allows for the two panels to be gathered when the curtains are drawn. For a fuller look, increase the curtain width. One pair of 117cm width curtains will fit a curtain track/pole size 117-167cm One pair of 167cm width curtains will fit a curtain track/pole size 133-167cm One pair of 228cm width curtains will fit a curtain track/pole size 182-228cm Better Cotton By choosing our cotton products, you’re supporting our investment in Better Cotton’s mission to help cotton communities survive and thrive while protecting and restoring the environment. Our Stylist Says

I love this pair of King Protea curtains for adding a bold yet sophisticated tropical touch to a room. The teal background combined with the vibrant floral pattern makes them ideal for creating a focal point, especially in living rooms or bedrooms with neutral or pared-back decor. They work well in interiors with botanical or eclectic themes, or when you want to introduce colour without overwhelming the space. Practical styling tips include pairing them with simple, understated furniture to let the curtains stand out, and adding cushions or décor accents in similar teal or pink shades for cohesion. These eyelet curtains are also lined, making them a practical choice for blocking out light and providing insulation, which is great for both style and functionality.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
