The wardrobe's doors showcase the wild oak veneer's beautiful grain and the design's tall cornice adds to its grandeur. Designed in house by Matthew Long and exclusive to Habitat, the wardrobe is made from solid and veneered oak, and is part of the Sabine bedroom furniture range, constructed to last, these quality pieces will be passed from generation to generation.

Our Stylist Says

I love this wardrobe for its versatile, natural finish, which makes it easy to integrate into a variety of interiors-from scandi-inspired schemes to more traditional settings. Its clean lines and ample internal storage, including a hanging rail, make it as functional as it is stylish. It's particularly well-suited to bedrooms where a neutral, calm aesthetic is desired, but it can also serve as a standout piece in a rustic or country-style space. Practical styling tips include pairing it with soft, textured bedding and subtle accessories to highlight its warm tone, or adding a simple mirror or sculpture nearby for a more curated, lived-in look. Overall, it's a reliable, classic piece that balances practicality and understated elegance seamlessly.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
