Description

Design. With its striking metal base and cool grey top, the Ryker ceramic dining table will bring a contemporary update to any interior. Its angular pedestal legs offer plenty of space to gather around, while a highly durable surface comes courtesy of hardwearing ceramic. This stylish grey dining table is also available as part of a corner dining set.

Our Stylist Says

This table really strikes a balance between contemporary style and practicality, making it a versatile choice for various interiors. I love the neutral grey stone top, which provides a sleek and sophisticated look that pairs well with both minimalist and more eclectic decor. The bold black base adds a touch of drama without overpowering the space, making it ideal for open-plan kitchens or dining rooms aiming for a modern but welcoming vibe. Practical styling tips include keeping the surface clutter-free with a favourite centrepiece or simple place settings, and layering in textured textiles or coloured chairs to add warmth and personality. It’s particularly suited to interiors that favour clean lines and understated elegance, while still maintaining a functional and inviting atmosphere.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
