I love this little stool because of its raw, rustic charm and natural finish, which lends a cosy, cottage-like feel. It works particularly well in rustic, boho, or farmhouse interiors, where its weathered look complements natural materials like wool, linen, and reclaimed wood. Practically, it’s versatile - perfect as extra seating in a casual setting, a side table in a kitchen nook, or even as a decorative piece. My tip would be to pair it with other wooden accents or colourful cushions to add visual interest and soften its rugged edges. Its sturdy build makes it functional, but styling it with plants or woven baskets nearby can really help it look intentional and well-integrated into a relaxed, lived-in space.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
