I’m a big fan of the Lucca chairs for their blend of solid oak seats and painted frames - they give you the warmth of real wood without feeling too heavy. The simple, high-backed form suits contemporary country kitchens, Scandi-style dining rooms or even a pared-back urban loft. To style, mix them with a linen-covered bench either side of a chunky timber table, then add muted cushions in soft greys or sage green to soften the backrest. Their neutral palette means they’ll sit just as well against a brick feature wall or on pale grey floorboards, and you can layer on texture with a woven runner or jute rug underneath.
