Our Stylist Says

I really like the Ruby narrow bookcase for its sleek, minimalist design and versatile colour combo of oak and anthracite. Its slim profile makes it ideal for tight spaces or as a subtle statement piece in modern, Scandinavian, or contemporary interiors. I’d suggest styling it with a mix of books, decorative objects, and small plants to add personality without cluttering. Because of its height, it’s perfect for creating vertical interest, so consider pairing it with a bold wall colour or artwork above. Practical tip: use it to display essentials or favourites, and keep the top clear for a clean, organised look. It’s a great piece for adding storage and visual interest in living rooms, home offices, or bedrooms where space is limited.

About The Range

Founded in 1989, The Range is the fastest growing retailer in the UK with an extensive selection to cater to a variety of styles and budgets. The Range provides affordable and quality products to enhance your living space.

Humble Beginnings

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.

A Visionary Leader

Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.

Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.

More Than Just Stores

You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
