Description

The Roy Down Wall Light with Clear Tempered Glass in Anthracite is a sleek modern addition to your garden. This anthracite sconce is a robust lighting addition to the exterior of your home, thanks to the water resistant IP44 rating along side the corrosion protection. The contemporary minimalist design of this outdoor wall light is the perfect addition to an urban environment.

Our Stylist Says

I love this wall light because of its sleek, modern design and the durability provided by the tempered glass and anthracite finish. It’s perfect for creating a contemporary, minimalist aesthetic that works well with both urban and country outdoor settings. This light is versatile enough to enhance pergolas, patios, or garden pathways. For styling, consider pairing it with other understated lighting fixtures or outdoor furniture in natural materials, keeping the colour palette neutral to spotlight the clean lines of the lamp. Practical tips include placing it at entrances or along walkways to optimise both functionality and visual impact, especially when transitions from day to night.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
