I’m a fan of this little black bistro table for its clean lines and sturdy cast-aluminium build - it feels equally at home on a city balcony or tucked into a country cottage patio. The dark finish makes it a versatile backdrop: layer on a vibrant plant pot or a patterned tablecloth to lift the look, or keep it pared-back with a simple lantern and matching cushions for a more pared-down scheme.
Styling tip: position it against a light-coloured wall or decking to maximise contrast, then bring in slim-framed chairs in natural teak or rattan to soften the metal. It’s compact enough for tight spaces but still offers enough tabletop to serve up afternoon tea or evening cocktails in style.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
