Part of a collaboration between renowned British designer Lucy Kurrein and Trentino-based design house Molinari Living, the petroleum-blue Rondo 3-Seater Sofa celebrates the art of leatherworking and is exclusively available at The Conran Shop. Inspired by boxers’ punching bags, the Rondo Sofa is upholstered with premium quality Old Velvet nubuck leather in a muted blue hue. This supple, superior-grade European hide is produced in an Italian tannery and dyed-through for a richer colour. Plus, the water-based dye ensures no harmful substances were released during the process. Resembling the form and premium thickness of a vintage punching bag, the leather Rondo Sofa transforms the aesthetic of a sporting accessory into a contemporary furniture masterpiece; its soft cushioning is emphasised by its black metal frame, which presses into the leather on either side, inviting you to relax into it. An homage to leather’s indulgent, subtle strength and versatility, the Rondo Sofa is an elegant design that will develop a rich patina over time, only getting better with age.
