Description

This beautiful digital print on watercolour paper depicts a charming rural scene of a bike leaning against the wall of a whitewashed, thatched-roofed cottage. Instantly evoking feelings of peace and calm, the picture's eye-pleasing symmetry is perfectly complimented by its hand-stained grey ash wood frame.  Born at home on a farm in Mid Lothian in 1960, Ron spent his early years enjoying the open spaces of the Scottish countryside. On leaving school at 16 Ron started work in the art studio of a large Scottish publishing house and here was encouraged to develop his watercolour skills. After 35 years, Ron left the firm to devote more time to painting and embark on a career as a full time artist.  Mixing a lifelong love of cycling with a desire to capture the beauty of the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, Ron explores these areas with his bicycle, sketchpad and paint.

They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
