Description

If you’re looking for pendant lighting that remains subtle and refined without making too much of a statement, the Romano Marble Pendant Kit is a fantastic choice, simply hanging straight down from the ceiling and revealing a rustic exposed bulb. The braided cable that the fitting hangs from has a simple black colour and the fitting has a white marble effect that’s accentuated by a metallic satin brass rim, giving a sophisticated look that's ideal for a modern décor.

Our Stylist Says

I love this vintage-inspired ceiling pendant because of its versatile brass finish and marble detail, which add a sophisticated touch to various interiors. It works particularly well in contemporary, industrial, and eclectic spaces, where its clean lines and metallic accents can complement other hardware or exposed elements. For styling, consider hanging a couple of these over a dining table or in a kitchen area for a modern yet warm vibe. Practical tips include pairing it with an LED vintage-style bulb to enhance its charming glow, and positioning it at a height that provides functional lighting without overwhelming the space. It offers a great opportunity to add personality to a room while maintaining an understated elegance.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
