Description
A strong visual identity for this sculptural End table with its angular profile, creating an astonishing optical illusion. Lebanese-born designer Charles Kalpakian reinterprets a classic marquetry motif in 3 dimensions, playing with our perception of space and volume. The Rocky Side end table plays with the effects of perspective: it changes shape and transforms itself according to the observer's point of view. Asymmetrical lines, unbalanced volumes: the Rocky Side end table appears to be tilted, but this is merely an optical illusion. In reality, all surfaces are perfectly flat! You can store your books and objects inside, in the central open space, as well as on top of the unit. Rocky Side can be positioned in different ways: vertically or horizontally.
