Description

The Riviera Stripe Cushion with Fringe in Navy adds a tasteful and coastal-inspired addition to bring a touch of the seaside into your home. This navy cushion seamlessly integrates within lighter colour schemes, making for the perfect choice for infusing a maritime charm into your living space. The embroidered finish of this throw cushion is a stunning way of adding a different texture to your living room or bedroom decor.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this cushion for adding a nautical touch to both casual and coastal-inspired interiors. The navy and cream stripes combined with the fringe detail offer a tactile contrast that elevates simple schemes. It works particularly well on neutral or light-coloured sofas and beds, providing a pop of pattern without overwhelming the space. Practical styling tips include pairing it with other textured accessories or layering it with plain cushions for a cosy, layered look. It's versatile enough for living rooms, bedrooms, or even outdoor seating areas, making it a stylish yet practical choice for adding a bit of seaside charm.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
