I really like this grey ladder desk for its space-saving design and clean lines - it’s perfect if you need a compact workspace without losing storage. It sits comfortably in Scandinavian, minimalist or industrial schemes, where its muted finish and tiered shelving can blend in rather than dominate.
For styling, alternate books with decorative objects to break up the straight lines - think a small potted plant or a sculptural candle holder on the top shelf, with a neat stack of notebooks on the middle tier. Use a slim desk lamp and hide cables with clips or a cable sleeve. If you need extra hiding space, pop a low-profile basket on the bottom shelf to keep papers or tech accessories tidy.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
