I’m a big fan of the Riva dining table for its clean lines and sturdy oak-effect top paired with powder-coated metal legs. It works equally well in industrial, Scandi-inspired or modern farmhouse schemes, anchoring an open-plan dining area without feeling heavy.
For styling, keep the palette simple: a slim linen runner, a cluster of low ceramic vases or a shallow wooden bowl in the centre. Mix and match seating - think upholstered chairs on one side and slim metal-frame stools at the ends - to add texture. Above, a linear pendant light will emphasise the table’s length and create a cosy atmosphere for dinner parties.

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour.
