I’m a fan of the Rio tile top table because its ceramic-effect tiles add pattern without feeling fussy, and the slim black frame keeps it looking fresh season after season. It works equally well in a modern city balcony, a laid-back Mediterranean-style courtyard or a more rustic garden setting.
For styling, lean into texture: group simple terracotta pots or a metal tray of herbs at the centre and thread an umbrella through the built-in hole for extra shade. Pair with cushions or seat pads in muted greens or warm ochres to tie in with planting, and layer with a neutral table runner when you’re serving up brunch or evening drinks.
