A beach house porch offers the best vantage point in this framed coastal landscape by Richard Macneil. Richard Macneil is a self-taught artist who has worked in the fields of sculpture, ceramics and graphics both in the UK and internationally. He founded the Macneil Studio in 2009 with his wife and sons. He spent a long time working in the USA and one of his greatest achievements was seeing his artwork in the Oval Office in The White House. Returning to Worcestershire, England, where he was born and bred, Richard has worked on developing his unique style with a vision to create 'art that appeals to and is accessible to all'.
I love this seascape print for its calming, coastal vibe - it’s perfect for creating a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. The soft colour palette works particularly well in light-filled living rooms, bedrooms, or even bathrooms where you want to evoke a sense of tranquillity. Its framed size makes it versatile; it can anchor a gallery wall or stand out as a standalone piece above a sofa or sideboard. Practical styling tips include pairing it with natural textures like rattan or linen to enhance the seaside feel, and ensuring it’s positioned at eye level for maximum impact. It’s especially well-suited to interiors with a nautical or country aesthetic, but also adds a fresh touch to modern minimal spaces.
