Description

Depicting the most romantic city in the world, Richard Macneil paints a couple walking hand in hand towards the Eiffel Tower. Beautiful spring foliage frames their pathway as they traverse illuminated by street light. Hang this captivating framed print in your home to create a warm and romantic setting. Richard Macneil is a self taught artist who has always worked in the creative industry. He's worked in the fields of sculpture, ceramics and graphics, both in the UK and internationally. One of his greatest achievements was seeing his artwork residing in The White House. Returning to Worcestershire, England, where he was born and bred, Richard has worked on developing his unique style that he paints in today. Now teamed together with his family to form ‘The Macneil Studio,' his prints can be seen on greeting cards, gift wrap, stationery, home décor and canvas.

Our Stylist Says

I love this Paris-themed print for its timeless appeal and ability to bring a touch of European chic to any space. Its size makes it a versatile statement piece, especially suited for living rooms, hallways, or even a classic kitchen. It works particularly well in interiors with neutral or pastel tones, adding a subtle pop of colour and interest without overwhelming the decor. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with simple, understated frames or layering it with other artwork for a gallery effect. It’s a great option for adding a cultured, sophisticated vibe to both contemporary and traditional interiors.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
