Depicting the evening glow of a romantic city, Richard Macneil paints a couple walking hand in hand through a plaza. The print has a lightweight metallic frame and arrives ready to hang on your wall. Richard Macneil is a self-taught artist who has worked in the fields of sculpture, ceramics and graphics both in the UK and internationally. He founded the Macneil Studio in 2009 with his wife and sons. He spent a long time working in the USA and one of his greatest achievements was seeing his artwork in the Oval Office in The White House. Returning to Worcestershire, England, where he was born and bred, Richard has worked on developing his unique style with a vision to create 'art that appeals to and is accessible to all'. Have you thought about wall hooks and fittings?
I love this piece because of its large, impactful presence and the soft, warm tones that bring a sense of evening calm. It works beautifully in larger spaces like living rooms or hallways where it can make a statement without overwhelming the room. Given its colour palette and scale, it pairs well with neutral or muted interiors, adding a splash of colour and vibrancy. Practical styling tips include hanging it at eye level in a feature wall or above a sideboard to draw attention. To keep the focus on the art, avoid clutter around it and complement it with minimal accessories in similar colour tones for a cohesive look.
