Our Stylist Says
I’m a big fan of this retro side table for its clean lines and matte black finish - it slips effortlessly into both modern and classic schemes without feeling fussy. The single drawer keeps bedside clutter to a minimum, while the lower shelf is ideal for stacking books or displaying a small plant. Styling-wise, try pairing it with a slim-profile table lamp in brass or white ceramic to pick up the brass cup-handle detail. In a living room you can use it as a drinks trolley alternative, topping it with a tray for glasses and a carafe. It also works well in a monochrome scheme or alongside warm woods and natural textiles for a more layered look.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
