Description
The Resting Animals are the result of a recent research project from the Front studio. The Swedish design duo focus on the close connection between humans and figurative objects. They asked randomly selected people which items they found to be the most precious and emotionally significant in their lives. The majority of the responses turned out to be animal figures which were perceived to have a common personality, characteristics or history. Much work by the creative Front duo is devoted to the systematic observation of sleeping or hibernating animals. This fascination inspired the creation of a group of sleeping animals - Resting Animals - whose posture exudes lots of calm and placidness. Of these, the largest is an upholstered bear covered with fabric that can be used for numerous functions, for example it can serve as a stool, pouf or backrest. The smaller creations being a cat and two ceramic birds of different sizes. The Resting Animals not only bring nature into your home, but, beyond their decorative role, they also convey, through their peaceful presence, a feeling of deep satisfaction and camaraderie.
