Description

Weighted blankets are designed to reduce anxiety, improve sleep quality and aid relaxation. They have a special weighty filling that stimulates deep touch pressure across the body, creating the sensation of a comforting hug. This calming effect restores a sense of stillness and restfulness. This weighted blanket from Rest Easy Sleep Better is designed with a playful star print. Pure cotton cover The cotton in this blanket has been certified and produced in line with the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI). A breathable material that enhances coolness, BCI is a not-for-profit organisation which helps to train farmers to produce cotton more sustainably. Five layers of comfort The micro-glass beads inside this blanket are hypoallergenic and non-toxic, and are surrounded by layers of padded polyester fibre for maximum comfort. Durable stitched pockets ensure an even distribution of beads to ensure consistent pressure and the soft, plush fabric in the final layer provides a truly cosy feel. Endorsed by Millpond Children's Sleep Clinic Mandy Gurney, Sleep Consultant and Director of Millpond Children's Sleep Clinic says: "If you or your child struggles to go to sleep and at times doesn't look forward to bedtime, studies have shown using a weighed blanket can help you drift off to sleep more quickly, sleep more soundly and feel more rested the following day." Established 20 years ago, Millpond has a reputation as the UK's leading children's sleep clinic and is a trusted sleep advisor and trainer for the NHS. Our Stylist Says

I really like this sleep better star weighted blanket for adding a cosy, inviting touch to a bedroom or lounge. Its neutral grey colour makes it versatile and easy to incorporate into both contemporary and traditional interiors. It works particularly well layered over a plain bedspread or thrown casually on a sofa for a relaxed look. For styling tips, try pairing it with textured throws and cushions in complementary shades to create a layered, inviting feel, or use it as a statement piece on a neutral bed to add pattern and visual interest. It’s not only practical but also adds a touch of comfort and subtle charm, perfect for making your space feel more restful and lived-in.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
