Its compact footprint makes it ideal as a sofa end or occasional bedside surface, and the simple trestle legs give just enough character without overwhelming a room.
Styling tip: team it with a slender lamp and a couple of colour-popped books, or swap in a small pot plant for a softer look. Because it’s so versatile, you can pair two either side of a settee for symmetry or tuck one into an alcove as a pared-down console.
