I’m a fan of the Remington table for its solid oak effect and clever butterfly leaf - it extends easily when you’ve got extra guests but looks neat and compact day-to-day. Its turned pedestal base and muted grey-wash top make it equally at home in a modern farmhouse kitchen, a country-style dining room or a more pared-back Scandi scheme.
Styling-wise, keep things simple: a linen runner down the middle, a low ceramic bowl of seasonal foliage and your everyday crockery in soft neutrals. If you’d rather go bolder, introduce one or two contrasting accents such as pewter candlesticks or dark metal placemats.
