I’m a big fan of this multicoloured drum-style coffee table because its reclaimed boat-wood slats give each piece a unique patina and texture. The slim black metal legs keep the look light, so it works equally well in industrial-influenced lofts, relaxed coastal living rooms or eclectic boho schemes.
For styling, anchor it on a low-pile neutral rug and layer a stack of books, a small plant in a simple pot and a ceramic tray. Keep accessories minimal to let the wood’s weathered tones take centre stage, and introduce a few soft textiles elsewhere - like a woven throw or linen cushions - to balance the table’s rustic lines.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
