Description

Cosy evenings start with the Really Soft Teddy Bear Fleece Cushion in Merlot, a plush and inviting accent that instantly warms up your space. Sized at 45x45cm, this square cushion is perfect for snuggling into or styling across your sofa for a seasonal refresh. Its rich wine-red hue adds depth and drama, while the ultra-soft fleece texture offers irresistible comfort.

Our Stylist Says

I love this plush teddy bear cushion for adding a cosy, inviting touch to any space. The deep merlot hue works well in both contemporary and traditional interiors, providing a rich pop of colour without overpowering the setting. It's especially effective in neutral schemes, where it can serve as a standout accent piece, or in wine-inspired colour palettes for a more harmonious look. Practical styling tips include pairing it with textured throws or layering it with other cushions of different sizes and tones to create a relaxed, inviting vibe. Its soft, tactile fabric also makes it perfect for lounging, adding comfort and warmth to beds, armchairs, or cosy corner setups.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
