The Reale table was originally conceptualised in 1946 and remains an emblem of the designer's aptitude for achieving function using an eccentric, complex silhouette. Reissued by Zanotta, Reale is a juxtaposition of honest materials, with a five inch, bevelled glass top resting on slender lines of natural oak, and held by a series of intricate joints in strong, perfectly-balanced suspension. This timeless twentieth-century design is starkly contemporary and demonstrates Mollino's undeniable foresight into the future of design.
