I’m a big fan of the Rapallo sideboard for its blend of warm oak-effect panels and contrasting dark top - it brings just the right amount of texture to both urban loft and country-style homes. Its mix of concealed storage, drawers and built-in wine rack makes it supremely practical in dining rooms or open-plan kitchens, while the sturdy surface is ideal for a statement lamp, a couple of ceramic vases and a cluster of framed prints above. To style it, keep the top clutter-free by grouping three decorative items on one side and adding a low-profile tray for everyday bits on the other; inside, use the drawers for linens and family crockery, and let your favourite bottles show through the wine cubby.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
