Description
Famous around the world, designer Paola Navone draws her inspiration from her travels. Exotic, natural and unique: that’s the essence of the Rafael collection. This outdoor furniture is the result of the designer's exceptional ability to reinvent the aesthetic and formal thought of distant cultures and landscapes. The raw beauty of materials such as teak, marble and enamelled lava stone is enhanced by a sophisticated chromatic range. The natural, primitive forms are characterised by their deconstructed, solid lines that are a little tribal. Welcoming and organic, this collection exudes a comforting, vibrant charisma. This new collection tells of a philosophy of life in the open air, unexpected and exciting, where design is inspired by nature, and creativity becomes escape. This armchair combines a teak structure with incredible destructured synthetic ropework. Very ethereal, this openwork surface plays with transparency, creating a surprising interplay of graphic patterns. The taut cord is soft and comfortable. The ropes are specific for outdoor use and are made of a synthetic material that’s extremely resistant to UV rays, abrasion and atmospheric agents. FSC-certified teak is of the highest quality and comes exclusively from controlled regrowth plantations which observe strict reforestation processes. It offers excellent properties in terms of lifespan, durability and beauty, even when exposed to changes in temperature, water, humidity and salinity. The sanded teak version has a certain charm of yesteryear.
