Description

Understated and timeless, the Radius oak TV stand with 2 storage drawers is beautifully crafted from lacquered solid oak and oak veneer. The unit combines all of the media storage requirements of a modern home with classic Radius detailing, including recessed drawer handles, rounded corners and bridle joints for a strong, durable design. Part of the Radius furniture range, designed by the award-winning Simon Pengelly and exclusive to Habitat, the AV unit is made by skilled craftsmen in Croatia.

Our Stylist Says

I love this oak media unit for its clean lines and natural finish, which make it a versatile piece for a variety of interiors-from Scandinavian-inspired minimalism to more rustic and coastal schemes. Its two storage drawers are practical for neatly hiding away essentials, keeping your space clutter-free. It works particularly well in living rooms with neutral tones or soft textures, where its warm oak can add a touch of understated elegance. Practical styling tips include layering with slim books or decorative bowls on the open shelf, and pairing it with a complementary coffee table or sideboards to create a cohesive look. This piece is ideal for those seeking functional furniture that adds warmth without overwhelming the space.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
