Description

The Radius 6-10 seater oak extending dining table is an understated and timeless design that's perfect for family dining and entertaining.;Made from solid oak, the table extends quickly and easily, and its extension leaf is stored within the table when not in use.;The design's rounded corners are joined with traditional bridle joints, a carpenter's joint that allows for a corner connection that is strong in all directions and needs no additional bracing.;The dining table is part of the Radius furniture range, designed by Simon Pengelly exclusively for Habitat, which includes living, dining and bedroom furniture.

Our Stylist Says

The RADIUS 6-10 seater oak table is a versatile piece with a classic, understated appeal that works well in both modern and traditional interiors. I love its clean lines and natural timber finish, which brings warmth and texture to any dining space. It’s ideal for open-plan kitchens, farmhouse-style interiors, or contemporary minimal schemes. To style it effectively, consider pairing with a mix of upholstered and wooden chairs for a balanced look, and keep accessories simple to let the natural beauty of the oak shine through. Since it’s extendable, it’s also a practical choice for hosting guests without sacrificing style or space.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
