Description

The Quentin Table Lamp is the perfect addition to your home, featuring a beautiful, stylish base that holds a large, plain grey shade. The unique base is finished in light grey and features small detailing that create a sense of character and interest, adding an extra layer of styling to your room. The cylindrical grey shade diffuses the light within into a warm, ambient glow to create a softer atmosphere in your room, soothing and relaxing the whole environment.

Our Stylist Says

I love this table lamp for its understated elegance and versatile styling. The grey base adds a subtle touch of texture and warmth, making it suitable for both contemporary and minimalist interiors, as well as more traditional settings. It works particularly well on side tables in living rooms or as a bedside lamp-pair it with neutral or pastel linens for a cohesive look or use it as a contrasting piece against richer colours. For practical styling tips, keep the surrounding decor simple to let the lamp stand out, and consider adding a dimmer switch to control ambiance. This piece effortlessly combines style with function, making it a reliable choice for enhancing various interior schemes.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
