Description

Purflo's innovative Swaddle to Sleep Bag has been developed to offer parents a safer, healthier bedding solution for newborn babies with unique breathable panels and the option to swaddle arms in or out. It also grows with new babies with an extended length that is certified hip healthy by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute so you don't have to keep sizing up. The Purflo Swaddle to Sleep Bag is a safe alternative to using blankets and loose bedding at sleep time and helps keep little ones at a safe temperature all year round. The versatile design of this baby sleep bag gives you the option to swaddle baby or let baby’s arms out – growing with your baby from a swaddle to a standard baby sleep bag. The 2.5 tog is perfect for all season use, allowing you to tailor the garments underneath to suit the temperature. The All Seasons Swaddle to Sleep Bag features the addition of Dupont™ Sorona® that is made from 37% plant-based ingredients and is Oeko-Tex® 100 Class 1 Certified. Key Features: Swaddle arms in or out depending on your little one's preference Can be worn in rooms with a temperature of 14-22°c (see the what to wear guide on how to dress underneath) Safe and secure popper fastenings Super soft cotton body and hypoallergenic filling Breathable panels on the back of the neck and torso to help keep baby at a safe and comfortable temperature Certified ‘hip healthy’ – no risk of hip dysplasia Length can be used reduced for newborns and then extended as they grow Travel-friendly design can be used in car seats and pushchairs (arms out mode) Conforms to all aspects of BS EN 16781:2018 safety standard Safety Information: We strongly recommend that the product should not be used with baby's arms in when they start to roll on their side. Swaddles or structured baby sleep bags are not suitable for premature or babies of low birth weight. We do not recommend this product for babies under 3kg/6.6lbs. Do not sure if the child can climb out of the cot. Do not use in combination with other bedding items (e.g. cot duvet).

Our Stylist Says

The purflo swaddle is a simple, versatile essential that adds a calming touch to a nursery. Its soft white colour makes it an easy piece to blend seamlessly with neutral or Scandinavian-inspired interiors, where clean lines and muted tones are key. I love it for its practicality and understated style - it works just as well in minimalist spaces as in more playful or eclectic nurseries. For styling tips, consider pairing it with natural textures like wooden furniture or soft cotton toys to create a cosy, sensory-friendly environment. Keeping it neatly folded or displayed as part of the nursery’s organised essentials can also elevate the overall aesthetic while reminding parents of its functional simplicity.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
