I’m a big fan of the Provence console - its limed oak top and soft grey base strike the perfect balance between fresh and timeless. The slim, two-drawer design means it’s at home in a hallway without feeling bulky, and the neutral tones slot effortlessly into modern farmhouse, coastal or Scandi-inspired schemes.
For styling, anchor it beneath a round mirror and add a pair of ceramic vases in muted pastels or simple brass candlesticks for height contrast. Tuck a woven basket on the lower shelf to corral shoes or throws, and use the drawers for keys and mail. Finish with a small lamp or a stack of coffee-table books to keep the look uncluttered yet welcoming.
