Description

Inspired by the glamorous furniture from Hollywood's Golden Age, the Ava Regency Collection is a classic for a reason. Artful curves, applique trim inserts and tapered feet are masterfully crafted throughout the collection to bring a cohesive look to a room. Each piece is constructed from made-to-last materials to ensure safety, stability and longevity. Crafted from solid poplar wood, rubber wood, engineered wood and MDF Expertly constructed with mortise-and-tenon and tongue-and-groove joinery for high quality structural integrity Kiln-dried wood helps prevent warping, splitting, cracking and developing mildew Exclusive finishes are applied by hand for exceptional richness, durability and depth of colour Designed with an artful curved headboard, applique trim and tapered feet Mattress platform is made of 100% solid wood slats for extra strength. Designed for use with or without a box spring Mattress and box spring are sold separately To maintain the quality of your wood furniture, do not expose it to direct sunlight or excessive temperatures. Extreme changes in humidity can cause warping Dust often using a soft, dry cloth Recommended maximum weight: 136kg All Pottery Barn kids products are tested at third-party CPSC-accredited labs to meet or exceed all industry voluntary and regulatory safety requirements. Good to know: Mattress and box spring are sold separately.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of the Ava Regency bed for its crisp, architectural head- and footboard and the hard-wearing white finish that adapts to most schemes. It works as neatly in a pared-back Scandi-style nursery or a more traditional country-house room, and equally well in a muted coastal palette or a modern-farmhouse setting. For styling, keep the look fresh with simple cotton or linen bedding in soft neutrals, then layer in texture with a chunky knit throw or a waffle-weave blanket. Slim under-bed drawers or woven baskets will hide toys and bedding out of sight, while a small floating shelf or low bookcase at the foot adds easy access for bedtime stories. Finish with a wall light or clamp lamp for reading.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
