Description
Inspired by brutalism, the Post storage unit offers a set of imposing, balanced volumes. It displays generous, simple, solid lines, embellished with expressive marquetry details. This furniture piece thrones over four broad cylindrical legs that resemble sturdy wooden logs. The Post storage unit is a very contemporary interpretation of the traditional technique of marquetry. It boasts hand-crafted marquetry decoration, composed of a collage of two tones of wood (light and dark smoked oak). This striped, geometric, contrasting pattern has a strong character. Preserving the simple feel of the striped front, the doors of the cupboard open and close via a hidden mechanism (push to open) to avoid visible handles. The Post collection is the result of a search for balance between graphics, materials and a passion for craftsmanship.
