Description

Our Portofino collection has a simple but pleasing design inspired by traditional Chinese cabinets and is produced by our skilled craftsmen to the highest standards using responsibly sourced wood and veneers. All cabinets are made using a combination of solid Paulownia wood and ash veneer. The solid wood parts are brushed and finished on a clear lacquer to give them an aged look that will look great in any room setting. This stylish low bookcase is ideal for storing and organising your collection of books or perhaps CDs or DVDs over three shelves. The two central shelves are both adjustable to tailor the space to suit your requirements. The top is ideal to display a favourite photograph or a houseplant. These attributes combined with a simple construction for easy assembly make it a great value product to be taken home today.

Our Stylist Says

The Portofino Low Bookcase is a versatile piece that brings a relaxed, natural tone to various interiors. I love its light wood finish for adding warmth without feeling heavy, making it ideal for coastal, Scandinavian, or minimalist schemes. Its low profile lends itself well to be used as a display or storage unit beneath a window or as a room divider. Practical styling tips include grouping books, decorative vases, or small plants on the shelves to create a curated look. To enhance its laid-back vibe, opt for neutral or soft colour accessories, or introduce some texture with woven baskets or fabric storage bins inside the shelves for added organisation.

About The Range

Founded in 1989, The Range is the fastest growing retailer in the UK with an extensive selection to cater to a variety of styles and budgets. The Range provides affordable and quality products to enhance your living space.

Humble Beginnings

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.

A Visionary Leader

Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.

Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.

More Than Just Stores

You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
